Can I apply for student loan if I have a bachelor degree from outside the UK?

Hello, I am from Brazil and I have a bachelor's degree in Tourism from Portugal and a settled status in the UK, I am thinking about applying for game design in UCLAN full time, and taking the student loan and maintenance loan to help with that (and at the same time a part time job). I saw somewhere that it's not possible to get a student loan because it's not my first degree, but I also saw conflicting information too, I saw that it would actually be reduced. Can someone please help me to understand what I am eligible for? I really wish I could take game design with support.
Normally you can only get funding for a second degree if it's an exception course - there's a specific list of courses that SFE will fund as a second degree (mostly allied health professions courses, or part-time STEM degrees).

I have moved your thread to the Ask SFE forum so they can provide the up to date advice

Hi Karinarina,

I have enclosed a list of exception courses that we fund as exception courses, both full and part time, for those who already have a degree:

Thanks, Jason
