Friend keeps offering me money but never gives

So I have a wealthy friend, we’ve been friends for 15 years since we were kids.
Regardless.. I’ve never asked for money but whenever we meet up he’s always like “dw bro I got you, I’ve got so much money I can just transfer u ££ and I’ll make it back from the interest in my account within a day so it won’t make a dent”
At first I was always like it’s ok u don’t need to do that, but he insists and is like “na I want to send it to u I make so much from interest it’s the least I can do for us being friends for so long etc.. how much do u want? £500, £1,000, £2,000?” Then im like “shit ok anything bro whatever u want” then he’s like “ok I’ll send £2k to u tomorrow”
But then he never actually sends anything., he’s always like “I’ll do it tomorrow” then never does, and I feel awkward to bring it up again so I don’t then if it ever gets brought up again he’s like “ah remind me later when I’m home”
But then obviously I won’t bring it up again but next time we meet the whole process starts again with him bringing it up saying he’ll transfer me, I don’t even bring it up and now it’s just getting annoying
