mpharm interview at bath

I just got an interview from bath but I'm predominantly a dentistry applicant and I'm so confused since they didn't ask for a pharmacy focused personal statement and I thought they were going to wait until after January deadline
I have absolutely no idea where to start and no pharmacy wex please help !!

i’m in the same boat but a med applicant. if you watch the video they linked what to expect for interview they break down the interview quite nicely. if the video is correct the interview doesn’t seem so daunting. i would use the prep you’ve done for your dent interviews and alter it to fit a pharmacy degree. at the end of the day you need the same communication, teamwork, empathy skills you need for a career in medicine/dentistry so i assume it would be similar things they are looking for at interview ? i haven’t sat the interview yet ofcourse but this is just my thoughts.
also did you manage to book a slot for your interview? when i clicked the link there was no slots left but i have been advised they release slots periodically and not to worry.

Hi there!

Current pharmacy student here 😊

I would say from personal experience that I found the interview like a really nice friendly conversation with some chemistry and maths involved. There are some guides on the StudentRoom about the common interview questions and can be used as a baseline to prepare. Find out a little more about the role of a pharmacist and how we can be part of an MDT.

I know quite a few people without prior work experience in a pharmacy before doing the course. So it is not completely necessary. Like what the other comment says, there are a lot of transferable skills with different roles, volunteering experience, sports, extracurricular in which you can show you demonstrate these skills.

I hope this helps and good luck with the rest of your applications!
