I got an offer from the uni I wanna go to but I didn’t state I’m deferring

I didn’t say I’m deferring my application on my ucas and got a conditional offer can I accept it then tell them I wanna take a gap year after so my place is secured. I put no deferred entry on my application bc apparently they’re a little less likely to consider u bc some unis view gap years negatively. Plus they gave me a conditional bc my predicteds were too low so do u think they’d just reject me if I told them after I accepted it im taking a year out. Bc if they do I could just reapply but then that doesn’t guarantee they will accept me again bc every year is different obviously

Unis don't consider gap years negatively, you should have just applied for the year of entry that you wanted.

Now it's just a case of asking if you can defer your offer. It'll be a quick yes/no, and then you'll know whether you need to reapply or if you are all good. Your current offer is safe regardless, they can't withdraw it for asking about a deferral.

As above, just contact the Uni and ask.
Its usually a very straightforward change - especially this early in the admissions cycle..
