diagnostic radiography ucas 2026

i’m just wondering if i’d be at a disadvantage since i still haven’t finished my personal statement and am planning to send off my ucas by next week, but ive been seeing people get offers from unis im also applying to like cardiff and Liverpool. am i at a disadvantage applying in mid december compared to other applicants who applied in october and november? i just need to finish my personal statement and honestly im not confident about it
also has anyone got interviews for cardiff liverpool or plymouth, i know leeds and exeter may do them later.

As long as your school sends your application to UCAS before the January deadline, you have exactly the same chance of an interview etc as anyone who applied earlier. Unis process application gradually, and make offers gradually so that they do not 'run out of offers' for those who applied 'on time'.

alright thank you, this is what i had originally thought. i was just anxious as other people have been getting offers already and have done their interviews.

hi im experiencing the same ive submitted my application but my teachers havent sent it off yet im worried it may not be as good as others as ive realised that its a competitive course and ive taken the level 3 btec route rather than alevels

glad someone else is in the same boat, i’m trying to finalise my personal statement as i’m scared it’s not as good as others. about your course, honestly i’ve seen so many radiography students with btecs, i wouldn’t worry about it as long as you meet the entry requirements for your grades and course.

If you will get your student finance from SFE, I recommend that you consider replacing Cardiff with another choice in England. You won't be eligible to receive the NHS Learning Support Fund if you study in Wales and if you opt to take the NHS Wales Bursary it is highly likely that you will struggle to cover your living costs. Most admissions departments will have been closed for at least 10 days over Christmas so they've not had much time at all to review your application. Unis have until May to make decisions so it's nothing to worry about.

Can you clarify your question - I'm not sure what you're asking?
