Last min help on uni choices?

So Im predicted triple A in Maths Economics and History.
My Gcses are mixed, 4,4,5,5,6,6,6,7,7.
Was going to apply to economics at UCL,Warwick, Manchester,Bath and Durham.
Now I've realised I think it may be too competitive for the grades I've got, is it worth applying for PPE at this universities instead of real economics or should I pursue a degree in economics in a lesser known university.
I know my Gcses are really bad but I hadn't cared that much back then.
Any thoughts would be appreciated thanks!

For Bath ur GCSEs are weighed with 40%, so I’d avoid that one. Are your contextual ?

Well, unless you meet any contextual you don't seem to meet the basic A-level requirements for 4 of your 5 choices. Do you meet the requirements for PPE at them?

I don't meet contextual although my college does.
I'm now thinking as my reach Warwick,Kings PPE A*,A,A (A* in Maths)
Manchester Econ and Exeter PPE A,A,A
And as my insurance York Economic A,A,B
I mean there's not much I can do in my situation is there to get into the top universities 😕
Im going to try push for A* predicted in maths though I was like 3 marks off in my recent mock.
Hoping for a miracle atp.

Do any of the relevant unis/courses give contextual offers based on current educational establishment? If so, you would presumably qualify.

With AAA predicted for econ strategic choices would be:
A maximum of 1 at A*AA
1-3 at AAA
At least 1 at ABB or below
Would you mind sharing what grades you typically work at? A lot of schools inflate predicted grades so this info would allow you to get better advice 🙂
Unis all have different contextual offer policies so take a look at them if you think you might be elegible

Maths has been consistent A Econ too and History is a bit of both but its the new content that I'm getting B's on that require different structure. Yeah regarding contextual Im not eligible unfortunately. So do you suggest I take Warwick out for something more safe? My aim rn is Manchester Economics, do you think I have decent chances there?
Many thanks btw!

So if you’re consistently working at AAA-AAB I would say one choice at A*AA (like Warwick) is a good idea to keep you motivated, 2 choices at A*AA might be risky with your lower GCSE results depending on the uni but if they are unis you really want to go to then it could be worth a shot 🙂
Manchester econ seems like a good aspiration, do you meet their gcse requirements? (6 in English lang)

Yeah yeah I meet their GCSE requirements. I was thinking I chance it with two universities of A*AA because I don't really know other A,A,A Econ courses other than Manchester. Yeah I know my GCSES bring me down but I've changed from since then, I'm going try my best! I would still be really happy with Manchester. Thanks so much by the way for your time!

Why do you think that Manchester won't give you a contextual offer? You appear to say above (Reply 3) that your current college qualifies as contextual, and as far as I can see Manchester would accept that. Or have I misunderstood?
