Subject requirements for dietetics

Hi, I am a Year 12 student studying A-level Religious Studies and a Level 3 BTEC Applied Science Diploma (equivalent to two A-Levels). Would I still be able to study dietetics at university? More specifically, at Leeds Beckett?

Look at the 'entry requirements' on the relevant courses pages on Uni websites - tis will explain any preferred or required subjects, and the will give either the grades required or an overall UCAS points total.

The Leeds Beckett requirements - BSc (Hons) Dietetics Course | Leeds Beckett University - are 120 UCAS points and it only lists the vital A level subjects and doesn't mention BTECs at all. You need to contact their Admissions team - details at the very end of this page Admissions | student information | Leeds Beckett University - list the exact titles of the quals you are taking and ask of this is acceptable.

There are other ways of working in this area than doing a degree : dietetics assistant job jobs - NHS Jobs
Working in a support role would give you invaluable experience and might lead to an apprenticeship.
