Applying for degree apprenticeship

I am currently in my second year of university, however I am not enjoying my course and I worry I am wasting time that I could be using more productively in terms of my future career.
I have been wanting to drop out for a while now, with aim to apply for degree apprenticeships in September.
I am 21 now and worry by the time I apply in September I turn 22, am I too old to be applying for degree apprenticeships?
However I do not want to graduate at 23 and then have to start the job search with no prior experience.
Has anyone else had a similar experience with starting degree apprenticeships at 22+/ dropping out of uni. Thanks!

Idk how it works but can’t you take a year out as an industrial placement instead of wasting all the money since you’ve already started uni
