Does anyone else feel like they cant really do anything else but study

Im in year 13 and doing my A levels, is it normal to spend most of my studying? I used to play videogames after school or on the weekends but now i don't really have any time to do what i want and i feel guilty even considering to have fun like that. I still use social media to an extent but dont really do much else than study.

Not really, you need to make sure you make time to do things you enjoy because there will come a time when doing that much revision will stop being of any benefit (in terms of remembering content) and you will make yourself miserable. Try to set aside some time to play video games, go for a walk, etc. (basically anything you enjoy) to try and avoid burning yourself out. Hope this helps

Hi,

Studying is good and nurturing to the brain. But it is also important to give yourself breaks so you don’t get burnt out without realising. Do you like reading books? maybe reading books instead of using your phone won’t make you feel as guilty for taking breaks? And then you can gradually do other hobbies like playing video games etc.
