Student Finance regarding gap year

Hey!! So, I have submitted my ucas application with the intention of any offers being deferred to September 2027, which allows me to have a gap year. I was just wondering when I need to start worrying about getting my student finance sorted, would it be this academic year? Or in the summer of 2026, ready for my start in 2027?

Hi there, if you are studying in September 2027 you'd not apply for funding until the spring of 2027 when the 27/28 applications go live. Thanks, Jason
