Confusion about predicted grades for my UCAS Application

hi, I'm predicted B, Merit, Merit (BCC)

4 out of the 5 university choices have a higher grade requirement. For example (AAA)

Will I still be able to secure a place?
Even if I get AAA in my actual results what do I have to do?

Applying for any AAA course with grades that low is essentially a waste of time - you are FIVE grades below their requirements. They want AAA because they know that they will get enough well qualified applicants and therefore they will not need to make offers to lower grade applicants. And - this is important - whatever the grade difference, you cannot just assume that any Uni will accept BTEC certificates in place of two A levels.

The usual advice about your 5 UCAS choices is :
1 choice just above your predicted grades - 1 grade and not in a vital subject
3 choices at your predicted grades - these are your most likely offers
1 choice well below your predicted grades as your Insurance choice
Unis will usually specify what BTECs they will accept, and hopefully what grades you need in combination with an AL. If they don’t, contact them to ask, (and do so ASAP before they break up for Xmas).

Anything more than 2 grades above your predictions is a real stretch and I would not recommend for more than 2 choices.

If you smash your grades you can shop around in clearing.
