dental hygiene and therapy first year
Hi, I am in year 13 currently and have been applying to unis for DHT. I have to go away next october due to family circumstances for 3 weeks. Will this affect my course if so how ? Will there be a reading week and what will i miss out on as i will have done my induction. Will there be any assignments in that 3 weeks. Please help me !!

Hi,
It’s completely understandable to be concerned, how this may affect you will depend on the university and course structure. In cases of family circumstances, it’s usually possible to arrange support or extensions. Some courses also have reading weeks, which could make it easier to take the time off. I’d recommend speaking with your module leader and personal tutor once you start, as they’ll be able to advise you on the best way to manage this. Try not to worry too much!
