Student accommodation for the whole three years

Please does anyone know a way of getting to a list of universities who offer accommodation for the entire length of a degree rather than just the first year?

There's no list. I know that it is often possible to continue in halls at Lancaster.

Hi,

I don’t believe there’s a list of universities that offer accommodation for the entire length of a degree, but you could ask the accommodation team at the universities you’re interested in. I’m a third-year student and have stayed at the same Unite Students accommodation throughout my degree, so some providers do allow easy rebooking even if it’s not directly through the university after first year.

Hope this helps,

The problem you'll find is that for most unis, accommodation for year 2 onwards is subject to availability only.

Hi There

Accommodation on campus at Lancaster is guaranteed for our First-Year Students who list us as their firm choice. However, from the second year onwards, it becomes subject to availability. It is often possible, and I know friends who have stayed on campus for three years now. The caveat is that you often won't be able to stay in the same room and may have to move each time over the summer. The best people to contact would be [email protected] for the latest details and protocol.

There isn't really a single master list for this, but your best bet is looking at collegiate universities.
Places like Durham, York, Lancaster, and obviously Oxford/Cambridge tend to have a college system where you remain part of that college community, and they often have more availability for returning students (though it's still not always 100% guaranteed for all years). Campus-based unis (like Keele or Bath) are also more likely to have space than city-based unis.
