S6 subjects to study medicine

I’m in S5 and I am studying chemistry, human biology, maths, English and art at higher. It’s nearly time to chose subjects for S6 and I would really like to take chemistry, biology and art all at advanced higher, would this be a good idea? There’s a pretty big chance I might get a B in art this year as it’s pretty much impossible to get an A but I am going to really try. Obviously I will need to get plenty of work experience too so does anyone have any recommendations of what type to get and how much I need? Thanks

Hi. Whilst I would double-check about each university you want to apply to (on their entry requirements website), Scottish unis typically want BB at Advanced Higher, with one of these being chemistry, and most wanting the other to be biology.

Some might require three Advanced Highers, but they shouldn't require any other specific subjects at that level.

So, if you wanted to take Advanced Higher chemistry, biology, and art then go for it.
