do med schools matter if you want to leave?

by leave I mean the country!

to what extent does your medical school matter then? considering I am aiming for rural Canada (very hard I know, just rural anywhere) I know though and am willing to work extra hard to make connections no matter where I go but I also don't want to work so hard for it to be redundant yk?
