inter-railing 2026

Me and my two best friends are planning to go inter-railing in out A-level summer before uni. We need to book it soon while there is still a black Friday sale on, but we are unsure on when or where to go.

was wondering if anyone could reccomend a good route they did and any tips/reccomendations??

we think we might go for 2 or 3 weeks or so

You don't need to book anything now - just roughly work out how many travel days you think you might need and then buy the passes. You then have 11 months (usually) to use the passes and they can be refunded for a small fee if you change your mind . Once you know your dates, book Eurostar and then work out where you are going to go. If you are travelling over several weeks and can be flexible and avoid the high-speed routes, you might not need to make reservations for any other trains.

Look up the 'man in seat61' website for all the information you will ever need on train travel in Europe. There are also lots of interrailing groups on socials that can give you good ideas for itineraries.
