Child nursing in LSBU

Im thinking of adding LBSU as one of my five options. But I’m not sure if it is a suitable choice for nursing. Is there anyone who could share their experience with studying nursing in LSBU???

Hi Clang,

LSBU is an extreme choice for Nursing, especially if you want a course that’s practical, supportive, and linked closely to real NHS placements. One of the biggest reasons students pick LSBU is the amount of hands-on training you get, from skills and simulation labs to supervised clinical practice, plus strong support from lecturers and personal tutors throughout the degree. All of LSBU’s Nursing degrees (Adult, Children’s, Mental Health, and Learning Disability) are approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), so you graduate ready to register and practise as a nurse in the UK.

Placements are a significant strength at LSBU. You’ll spend a large part of your course on placement with NHS partners across London, meaning you get experience in different settings and with diverse patient groups. Studying in central London also gives you access to some of the busiest and most varied healthcare environments in the country, which helps you build confidence and develop strong clinical skills.

LSBU has a considerable reputation in healthcare because we train a large number of nurses for London’s workforce, so you’ll meet many nurses on placement who studied at LSBU too. It’s a university that’s genuinely known for producing capable, work-ready healthcare professionals. The support, the teaching style, and the placement links are precisely why many students feel LSBU is one of the best options for Nursing in London.

If you want to hear directly from current Nursing students, I’d recommend chatting to them through Unibuddy, and if you can, visit our Open Day on Saturday, 7th February. You’ll be able to tour the simulation suites, meet lecturers, and ask student nurses what the course and placements are really like.
