Cambridge colleges

I am looking to apply for either Homerton/ Queens / Newnham, Homerton appeals to me because of its diversity and people say it’s less elitist, however i have a disability so im not sure about the transport. If anyone has any experience with Queens and if it is generally diverse as I’d like to feel a sense of community. Also is there more academic pressure at Queens considering it usually ranks high in terms of colleges? I’m unsure about Newnham because I went to a girls school and it was very cliquey so I don’t want to experience that again. If anyone has any experience I’d appreciate it  I understand college isn’t everything but I do want to feel comfortable and have a sense of community!

If travelling on foot or bike is difficult, I would recommend against Homerton (and also Girton for the same reason), unless you are based in the Education Faculty, since it is quite far from the city centre and also most of the departments. Generally, Cambridge colleges are much more diverse and less elitist than even ten years ago, and much less so than for the generation above us. Similarly, most have a very strong sense of community and they are lovely places to be students at. All of them have generally quite high academic pressure as academics will not differ much by college.

I'd recommend to visit colleges and see what is comfortable for you. Since many of the colleges are many hundreds of years old, many of them were not built to modern accessibility standards. Many have since been retrofitted, but that may be difficult still if you have difficulty with stairs, etc.
