Should I js drop accounting and pick further maths instead? (igcse/OL/gcse)

Is the am/fm syllabus even doable now that there's like ~3 months left?? also I'll pretty much be doing accounting from scratch cus no teachers in our school before and now that one has joined he lowk teaches VERY bad (like I'll be taking tuitions for both anyways so)

I'm planning to major in econ so it won't have side effects will it? Also got into another AL college and wrote down that I'm taking accounting so I'm scared they might withdraw their offer in the end. Also idk if it's possible to get good in additional/further maths within 3 months (I don't want anything lower than an A* otherwise I won't be able to afford college TvT)

Also I currently take math tuitions and I'm quite good at math and only 3 minor topics really left untouched (kinematics, similarity and symmetry) which I can cover within a week and I'll prolly ask my teacher to teach me addmaths asw or I'll take demos elsewhere but like I'm ready to commit

Hey @B333222n,

Learning an entire GCSE syllabus in three months is possible, but it's very difficult when you have to balance it with other subjects and revision commitments. Your Maths teacher will likely be your best source of info, as they'll have a better gauge of whether or not it's possible with your current subject knowledge.

Aside from the inconsistent teaching, is there any other reason you want to switch from Accounting to Further Maths? Both are good GCSEs and are relevant to what you eventually want to pursue (Econ).

Hope this helps,
Eve (Kingston Rep).

Yep! I plan on taking Further Maths in A-Levels so it'd definitely help. However, many warned me so now I've just sent entry for accounting and am speedrunning it lol. I also have a tutor now so that helps tons!
