medics, how do u guys motivate yourself to do anki

I am a first year medical student trying to do anki over Christmas Break because:
1) I am behind
2) I don't want all the pressure when exams come in feb + june
3) I don't celebrate Christmas.

I can motivate myself enough to do 75 flashcards (including reviews) in 30 minutes everyday but I have 2000 to go through over 20 days so I need to ramp it up.
Any advice on how to make Anki a little bit more fun ?
Any add-ons, time keeping startegies, or simply motivational tricks very welcome !
Thanks

Hi,

While I’m not a medical student, I’d recommend breaking your Anki sessions into smaller, more manageable chunks and setting mini-goals for each session. You could try using the Pomodoro method, doing 25 minute intervals separated by short 5 minute breaks, with a longer break after every four Pomodoros to make it feel less overwhelming. You can also reward yourself daily after completing your sessions to stay motivated.

Hope this helps, good luck!
