5 uni options help

Hey!!!!
Need some urgent help with my 5 university options.I want to apply to Psychology undergraduate course but I'm also open to Psychology and counselling courses since I want to go into that in the future. Like down the child psychology route. I want to send off my UCAS soon just debating on a few things.
My predicted grades right now:
Media studies: A
Psychology: B
Biology: C
**I might be able to get my biology prediced grade up to a B if I get good results in my mocks.
In addiion I am able to ge contextual offers because I'm down for exenuating circumstances and I was very recently put into foster care becasue of circumstances at home which have been affecting my studies for ongoing years.

So far I am thinking of applying to:
1. Lancaster- Psychology
2. St Marys- Psychology with counselling
3. Royal Holloway- Clinical and mental health psychology
4. Brunel- Psychology
5. ???

Please help!! if you think I should reconsider any of these and what should my 5th possible option be?

First of all, you’re doing really well, especially given everything you’ve been dealing with recently. Your grades are solid, and with contextual consideration, you’re absolutely right to aim high.
Your current choices make sense, but they are quite competitive, so having a strong, realistic 5th option is a smart move. I’d honestly suggest Canterbury Christ Church University for Psychology or Psychology with Counselling. They’re very supportive of contextual and care-experienced students, your predicted grades are within range, and the course has a strong focus on mental health and child development, which fits your long-term goals really well.
You don’t need to rethink your whole list, just make sure your 5th choice gives you some security without selling yourself short. CCCU would do exactly that.

The usual advice for your 5 UCAS choices is :
1 choice just above your predicted grades - just be prepared for No
3 choices at your predicted grades - these are your most likely offers
1 choice below your predicted grades as your potential Insurance choice

For a BBB choice look at Oxford Brookes - BSc (Hons) in Psychology at Oxford Brookes University or for BBC Plymouth - BSc (Hons) Psychology with Early Childhood Studies - University of Plymouth. There is also BSc Childhood Studies | Study at Bristol | University of Bristol - Contextual offer BBC.

Hey, thanks for sharing all of this, and well done for getting so close to submitting your UCAS. Have you thought about adding LSBU as one of your options, right in the heart of London? With your predicted grades of A, B, C and the potential to move Biology up to a B, plus being eligible for a contextual offer, LSBU could be a really strong and supportive choice.

At LSBU, we offer a Psychology undergraduate degree with pathways as you progress through the course. These pathways allow you to start broad in your first year and then focus more on areas that interest you, such as developmental and child psychology, mental health, and wellbeing. This is ideal if you are interested in working with children or moving into roles linked to mental health and support services in the future.

Our Psychology course is designed to keep your options open after graduation. Many students go on to further training in areas like educational psychology, child and adolescent mental health services, or other postgraduate psychology routes. Being based in London also means there are lots of opportunities to gain relevant experience alongside your studies, which is really important for competitive psychology careers.

Adding LSBU as a fifth option could give you a realistic pathway focused choice that still aligns closely with your long term goals, while offering strong academic and wellbeing support.

You are always welcome to explore LSBU a bit more and get a real feel for what student life is like here. If you would like to see the campus in person you can book a tour https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/study/study-at-lsbu/open-days/campus-tours on a day that suits you and get a sense of the spaces you would be studying in. You can also chat to our current students https://www.lsbu.ac.uk/student-life/chat to hear honest experiences and get answers to any course questions you might have.
