ucas fashion marketing

I’ve got offers for both lcf and uni of Manchester to study fashion marketing and I’m not sure which one to pick.Manchester is a good option as I can move out as I live in London but lcf is top for fashion.my concern wirh lcf is the lack of social life as I’ll be commuting which is around 45mins for me to get to campus to lcf .which is a better uni for both social life but also getting a job in the industry post grad ???

Hello! Congratulations on receiving offers from both LCF and the University of Manchester for Fashion Marketing! Both are excellent choices, each with its own strengths.

LCF is well-known for post-graduation employment in the fashion industry. It is located in East London's creative hub. The course provides great access to live projects, internships, and a strong alumni network that often helps students land marketing and branding jobs. According to University Living, more than 90% of students secure positions in the creative industry within six months. The curriculum combines practical business skills like digital strategy, retail analytics, and brand management with industry placements.

You can find out more about employability in UAL here: https://www.arts.ac.uk/colleges/london-college-of-fashion/study-at-lcf/employability

And for work placements:

In terms of social life with a 45-minute commute, there are a lot of UAL events like networking gatherings as well as portfolio reviews. UAL offers a plethora of clubs and societies for students to help you make connections. Further details are available on the Arts SU website / instagram https://www.arts-su.com/

Being in London also means countless theatre shows, exhibitions and museums. Since you are thinking of studying at LCF, I recommend visiting the Whitechapel Gallery, London Museum Docklands and Young V&A that is nearby.

Good luck with your decision! If you have any questions about UAL life, the teaching style, or the application process, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, I’m happy to help with insights from the UAL perspective.

Best wishes,
