can i use notes in my interview? i want to have my personal statement and a couple notes on hand just in case my mind goes blank or i need a reminder of what i want to say

You may use notes during an interview, but it's prob best not to do so. Reading through your PS the night before the interview should be sufficient. Also best not to go in with a prepared statement. The tutors really don't like that. They want to see how you respond to questions that are often subject related but in an unfamiliar setting.

I’d strongly advise against it as if you go in with notes then you will be tempted to try to answer based on your notes rather than what they actually ask you. I think it is only a good idea to use notes if you are specifically invited to prepare something (eg “here is a piece of pre-reading - you have 20 minutes to look at it and please have it to hand in the interview”).
