ESAT tips and suggestions

I am sitting the three modules of Math1, Math 2, and Physics for the January ESAT. Does anyone have any good, efficient tips on how to score the highest possible and ace the exam ( given the short time span of around 3 weeks till the exam)

You gotta get into the mindset of cranking out questions as quick as possible. Practice on similar exams a lot - the Cambridge NSAA tests are supposed to be a good match

also oh my god what do you mean 3 weeks I need to work harder ****

I'd recommend watching this video, I found it useful when doing the October sitting: https://youtu.be/cH3vLSGjUKs?si=U_hXmhrjbPLy4dxI
In terms of what to do, mostly just do as many Qs as possible and reflect on mistakes especially, the video suggests some good sources as well. You also want to make sure that you read the question and not fumble easy things lol because that's a problem many people have in the exam, including me. Also, revise some GCSE content using the ESAT spec (or any other source tbh) on the website, especially for physics because they have some Qs on things like magnetism and convection currents which you may have forgotten about, you would probably know all the maths content for both modules, it's just time pressure and silly mistakes that throw you off. Best of luck with your remaining prep!

With ESAT Maths close, it’s mainly a timing exam (40 minutes for 27 MCQs), so improvement comes from pacing + picking the quickest safe method + learning from mocks.

A clear final-week structure (numbers included):
Day 1: 13 Maths 1 questions + quick review
Day 2: 18 Maths 2 questions + quick review
Day 3: Maths 1 timed mock (27 Q, 40 mins) + short debrief
Day 4: remaining 13 Maths 1 questions + redo the slowest 5
Day 5: remaining 18 Maths 2 questions + redo the slowest 5
Day 6: Maths 2 timed mock (27 Q, 40 mins) + short debrief
Day 7: light consolidation (cheat-sheet review + short confidence drill)

Rule: if you’re stuck after ~75–90 seconds, flag it and move on, bank easy marks first.

If you’d like, I can email a free 7-day plan + a short cheat-sheet sampler. Message me an email address and I'll send it over.
