KCL maths

I wanna apply to KCL maths. I got grade 5 in English language, they need a 6. But I’m most likely gonna get contextual offers because I have chronic migraines which affected my school attendance very negatively (68%). So is it worth giving a shot or they gonna reject me instantly.

Contact them and ask
Generally not meeting a gcse requirement is an automatic rejection
The basis of asking for contextual admission from a chronic condition can be an issue. You should have had support and exam adjustments in place to support this at the time if it was a significant issue. Their contextual offer page doesn’t give any indication that they will give you any form of reduced offer or lenience in your application so i would not rely on this.

I emailed KCL with the same issue and they answered with saying:
Thank you for your email.
If you are a national of a UKVI defined majority English speaking country, you will not be required to take an English language test, please see the list of countries in the ‘Nationality’ section at the top of this page.

Tbh I wasn't sure if they meant that my English Language Grade is fine as I am a home applicant but I decided to still apply anyways. Hope this helps at least.

Im not sure if they accept below 6, they might if u r contextual, but yeah, they confidently accept gcse english of 6/ above a 6
since maths isnt linked to english, u should be fine, but since it;s a london uni, im not 100% sure as it's competitive.
apply for it as an aspirational uni is what i would recommend
