Understandable. Many struggle with that.

Meds are there for a reason. Chemical balance in your brain you know...

Talk to your doctor about gradually reducing the amount of the medication.

Meanwhile try to find what works for you. No screen after 10PM, no lights, calming music etc...

gave it a fair shot, but it's not for me. they only make life feel dull, and my real personality is different. why should i have to put up with that? i only did it because i was forced to, anyway. it's not worth it.

i cba with a slow taper tbh, got no patience for it. but it's been a few days, and i feel fine. i'm done with my doctor tbh, he ****es me off. i can take care of my own mental health from now on.

unfortunately, i can't sleep with the lights off, loll, but being on my phone/laptop before bed is definitely an issue : / need to work on that

Try eating some unsalted pistachio nuts. They're delicious, healthy and the melatonin in them might help with the sleep.

i really just crave xanax at this point tbh, but maybe i do need to give them a try lol. over the past two days i’ve started cooking dinners again, much to my boyfriend’s happiness, he was so fed up always having to cook or buy food, haha. it’s been ages since i even touched anything in the kitchen

Sleep deprivation makes your brain start bargaining with anything that ever worked, so yeah, that craving makes sense. Also lowkey proud of you for cooking again, that’s not nothing. When sleep’s off, everything else usually is too.
