Universities, decisions and UCAS

I got an offer from all 5 of my unis and im not too sure which to pick! For firm and insurance. I'm most drawn to nottingham but I feel like i can't turn down durham, loughborough sheffield and lancaster because they're so good.
Also for placement years do most unis let you pick when you get there? I couldn't find the option on the ucas for nottingham for geography

Hi!
I'm presuming you've applied to all of the unis for geography?
I would highly recommend looking over the course content for each uni- you might find that a particular interest of yours is explored much more in one course than another! they may seem identical if you dont look into it a lot, you might find that sheffield's course is much more catered to the aspects of geography you like best!
another thing to consider is what type of university you would like best- i dont know much about some of the unis youve applied to, but im sure they differ a lot!
i know that durham has a college system like oxford and Cambridge integrated into the city, with 17 different colleges! some are gowned and some are more casual, so if you want something similar to that of oxbridge, durham would be great for it!
Nottingham has several distinct campuses around the city, and so whilst you may need to move between campuses, youll most likely spend a lot of your time at one.

you may consider the uni experience! i hear that loughboroughs nightlife is quite quiet, and a lot of students commute to surrounding cities for nights out, however it does have a reputation for amazing sport experiences!

you could look at the accommodation provided by each uni, as certain unis have cheaper accommodation, some might be worse than others! as well as this.
if you're really torn between unis and cannot make a decision based on the uni itself, consider the surroundings- how easy is it to travel, what is the surrounding city like? do you like older architecture or newer? do you want to be close to the rest of the country or somewhere more remote?

i hope this advice can help a little bit!

Nottingham
There's no rush to pick. Most unis will invite you to offer holder days where you can ask questions. The general advice is not to make choices before Easter.

Yes 100% im gonna leave them all hanging till easter im just trying to think ahead. School said wait till after mocks too. I feel like I shouldn't not pick durham though because like its 2nd in the uk for geography its really good etc but I don't think im built for the oxbridge like life. Seems like a small quiet place too

The open day will be a good idea to get a feel for the place then. Bear in mind that the campus will likely be a bit busier than a regular day.
