Next Steps after receiving Uni Offers

I wanted to find out what happens next after you receive the university offers.

My son has received conditional offers from some universities, and another university like Reading University said if you accept them as a first choice they will lower the entry requirements.

Do you have to accept the offers, and do anything else, or just wait for your results in summer next year.

Also with Reading university do you have to tell them about making them first choice,

If you dont do anything do you lose these offers.

Just wanted clarify next steps.

Your son needs to read up himself on what he needs to do next.
How To Accept Or Decline University Offers & Deadlines For Your Replies
Replying to offers: give yourself enough time | UCAS

Firstly he will probably be invited to Offer Holder visit days at each Uni in the Spring Term, and this is a good opportunity for him to have another look around and ask questions about each course.

He will have until May to decide on a Firm and Insurance choice, and to enter these choices - once he does this all of his other offers disappear and he can't get them back. Its important therefore that he does not rush making these decisions - there is no advantage in making an early decision.

And - there is no point in picking Reading as his Firm Uni if he does not actually want to go there. A reduced offer might sound flattering - but remember that a) they have made this promise to thousands of other applicants not just him, and b) why does this Uni need to bribe applicants to pick them.

Hello,
I hope you are doing well.
First , he needs to wait until all the decisions from each university are made.
Then he needs to choose his firm and insurance before the deadline - the specific deadlines are in ucas.
If he is still waiting for unis that he is interested in, the best thing is to wait.
At the end, universities are also competing for students for them to enrol to earn (since unis are businesses as well) hence, you got a reduced criteria if u accept them as ur firm.
but best thing to do now is to wait until all decisions are made
