Advice About Moving In To Uni

I'm going to be starting my midwifery degree at University of Northampton in January next year. I don't live anywhere near Northampton so I'm going to be moving into halls. My lease starts on my enrolment day.

The problem is that the timetable I was just sent for my enrolment day is PACKED (10:00-16:00). I'm concerned about whether I'll have time to unpack and meet my flatmates since I'm going to be so busy.

Does anyone have any advice or knowledge about this kind of thing?

You will usually move in the weekend before your course starts.
And there will be social events to allow you to get to know each other.

Heya! (:

Thats awesome your starting your course soon, bet you're excited to get into it and meet some new people!😊-i wouldn't stress too badly about your enrollment day, a lot of people move into halls at different times so likely you wont be the only one running about unpacking and sorting everything out (:

When i moved into my first flat, only 1 other person had moved in before me and the other girls showed up a couple days later, we made a groupchat for the flat so we could arrange a proper time to get to know eachother a bit - i would reccomend if your able to get in contact and then you could do the same! - if not if you have a shared kitchen, just leave a wee note with your number so if anyone moves in they can contact you and you can still find a time, even with it being hectic!

On the first day, I would just focus on unpacking essentials, like your bedding, anything you need for making food, toileteries etc - and then later, when you have more time, fully sort the place and make it feel more homely/get into a routine!

hope this helps, best of luck with your move💜
