Should I change my course choices?

Currently I'm thinking of applying to these 5 courses:
-Imperial Economics, Finance and Data Science
-LSE Maths and Economics
-Warwick MORSE
-Bath Maths and Economics
-UCL Statistics, Economics and Finance

Not really applying to any safeties because I am an international student and I would not go to the UK unless if it were a great university. My concern is that my courses are a bit disjointed and I'm not sure if my personal statement can give me a good shot at all 5 at the same time. I am aware that Warwick MORSE do not really care for the personal statement and that I will likely be given an offer as long as I meet the entry requirements, and I am also aware that LSE place a very high importance on the personal statement. Should I change my course choice at LSE and Bath to Economics and Data Science to fit in with my LSE and UCL course choices?

I wouldn't, I would write your personal statement to fit them all. They all include similar skills so I'm sure you can write one that fits them all well. Rather than mentioning the course name, write about the skills / experience you have. And none of the unis see where else you have applied to and what course, so they probably won't even realise.

MORSE is a joint honours course in maths, stats and economics (and also OR). Why would applying to economics and data science fit better? Maths and economics is a lot closer than the other option.

For Warwick MORSE my understanding is that as long as you fit the requirements you get an offer, the offer rate is like 90+%, so not really tailoring my PS towards it.

Yes my point is though that maths and economics is closer to all your options otherwise.

Hi there @adamd08 ,

I think all of those courses seem relatively similar, I think you should actually be able to edit your PS slightly to try and make it applicable to all 5. Assuming those are the 5 courses you most want to apply to, I wouldn't necessarily change them just to fit in.

I hope this helps, and that you get all the offers you apply for!
