Student Finance - 3 month gap abroad

Hello, I wanted to see if anyone could advise me at all.

I have a settled status, I have lived in the uk for 20 years on my polish passport. For the last 6 years I have been living independently in the UK. I have been accepted into uni and I am starting in April 2026. I have been in Australia visiting my brother from November 2025 and I will be back in London February 2026, so I am taking a 3 month break from the UK. I have applied for student finance and they have emailed me saying upon my return I will have to provide evidence that it was a temporary visit, which is fine but I am nervous that it will not be enough as I finished my tenancy in the UK before I left to come to Australia.

What I will be able to provide:
-Bank statements with a different UK address with a few bills like O2 and Barclays direct debit coming out during my absence,
-Return flights,
-3 month holiday visa,
-GP registration screenshot from NHS app
-Email communication between me and my old employer regarding me returning to work in February

Will this be enough?

Hi there. We cannot confirm if your evidence will be accepted until it has been reviewed, as temporary break evidence is assessed on a case by case basis.

This is typically the kind of evidence we would ask for, however. Anything you can provide to show you maintained your connection to the UK (bank statements, utility bills, appointment letters, school/job applications etc.) can also be reviewed.

Thanks, Leah.
