applying to warwick epp & ppe courses

So I want to apply for warwick, specifically epp and ppe courses, as a resit student (a levels), just looking for any general advice - anything would help

My top choice is warwick epp

- what are some tips for my personal statement, and making sure it's strong as my application is less competitive
- should i mention in my PS that i'm resitting?
- the typical offer is A*AA but the contextual is AAB and im eligible for contextual offers, which are AAB
i can be predicted AAA but i could apply with AAB - i dont wanna risk overpredicting myself and not meeting my offer, so should i apply with AAB to try and get a contexual or should i apply with the highest possible grades?

anything else is appreciated , thank you

I’d say it’s best to apply with AAA as it will make your application more competitive. I applied with predicted A*A*A, not eligible for contextual, but i was made the typical offer of A*AA, so i think its likely they would give you the contextual offer.

In general, Warwick looks very holistically at applications for EPP and PPE, especially for contextual and resit students. A strong personal statement matters a lot, and it’s usually best to focus on academic interest, independent reading, and how your subjects link clearly to the course rather than on circumstances.

It’s not necessary to emphasise resitting unless it adds clear context. Many applicants choose to keep the personal statement forward-looking and focused on motivation and readiness for the course.

For predicted grades, Warwick is generally comfortable assessing applications within the contextual framework, and meeting the contextual requirements is usually what matters most. As long as your predictions are realistic and aligned with your situation, there’s no single “right” approach.

Overall, Warwick EPP and PPE are known for being rigorous but also fair in how they assess applications, and contextual eligibility is genuinely taken into account.

oh okay, well congrats on your offer man! did you apply for epp this year or last year? i also was on the boundary and 1 mark into the A* for a subject in my mocks so i actually could ask to apply with A*AA for warwick as it would strengthen it even more, i want the best chance obviously
