I’m an international student who applied to Veterinary Medicine in both the UK and Australia, and I’m feeling very stuck..
I’ve received offers from:
• University of Surrey
• University of Liverpool
• Murdoch University
• University of Queensland
• University of Adelaide
At the moment, I’m leaning slightly towards the UK, mainly because I prefer the accommodation arrangements there, and I’m okay with being further from home. However, I’m really torn between Liverpool and Surrey.
I know Liverpool is a more established vet school with a long history, while Surrey is newer but seems very modern and student-focused. I’ve read a lot online, but I’d really appreciate hearing from current students, graduates, or anyone with insight into either course — especially regarding:
• Teaching style
• Clinical exposure
• Student support and workload
• Overall experience and graduate outcomes
If anyone has also chosen between the UK and Australia for vet med, I’d love to hear how you made your decision too.
Thanks so much in advance — any advice would really help!
