Accounting And Finance

I applied to Manchester, Sheffield, QMUL, Reading (year abroad) and Lancaster.

I sent my application but still got 2 weeks to change a uni and I'm thinking about changing Manchester because I'm ABB predicted, and I am eligible for contextuals at some unis here like QMUL and reading but not for Manchester.

I want more reputable options if anyone's got an idea because as much as I want to go to Manchester I don't see a likelihood of me getting offered for such a competitive course with my predicted.

Uni of brum might be a good option. They have contextual for AAB or ABB if u are eligible for their a2b scheme. I personally do accounting and finance there and went through the a2b scheme as well, its a Russell group and great for employer relations too

Hey, 👋

It's so great to hear you are interested in accounting and finance. Sheffield also offer contextual offers through the Access Sheffield scheme. The Access Sheffield offer is ABB so this fits your predicted grades. I have also found Sheffield to be fairly lenient. My partner (ChemEng) and I (EngLit) both got slightly lower than expected grades but we were still offered a place as we firmed Sheffield as our top choice.

If you have any questions about studying at Sheffield, please let me know and I would be more than happy to help. Alternatively, you can chat to a student ambassador currently within the management school here.

All best wishes,
Phoebe 😀

Hi!

Glad to hear you are interested in Lancaster!
If you have any questions about the uni or city I'd be happy to help.

Best wishes,
Zak

Non-RG Unis like Sussex, Aston, Plymouth etc will be far more likely to make you an offer and will also probably be far more flexible in August. Remember RG doesn't mean much in the real world, and any course with a placement or study abroad will adds enormously to your graduate CV.
