Word Count For Report

I'm doing Higher Leadership SQA (Level 6), and for my Leadership and Me Part 2,its a 500 word report to include 5 types of leadership styles, skills and qualities, comparing 2 leaders and conclusions. I messaged my professor about the word count and he said it doesn't really matter and he's more focused on the information. the thing I'm worried about is the fact that Im looking at 1,500 words and it's an SQA assignment. Am I going to need to summarise this or should I keep evidence that he said the word count didn't actually matter. Thanks
