My (hopefully) academic comeback | yr12

Hihihi, thanks for checking out my gyg!
This is my attempt at staying consistent and stop procrastinating just cus I can still ace stuff by starting last min (I know I need to get out of that habit for the goals I've).
Goals:
•Stop procrastinating (heavy on that)
•A’s in jan Term 2 exams
•A*s in finals
Academics:
•For context, I'm an international student who's almost done w yr12. I wanna say econ at uni.
•My subjects are:
Maths, Econ, Business, English, History
•My school doesn't offer the option to drop any subject or offer fm so my current combination is the best I can do.
•My gcse equivalents were a mix of 7/8/9s
My priority is to get out of the slump I've been in for 2 yrs now. I got sick few yrs ago and lost all the basics as I missed many classes. Going from acing every test to being avg hurt me a lot and I think maybe I got used to it cus i was so tired. Tbh I'm the one who put all that pressure on myself. I could get As by cramming so after that slump I kind of just worry over this and don't stay consistent. But no way I'm not getting into the uni i want so ye 😛
About me:
•I love my journal more than anything I've ever loved. I just love yapping there.
•Disney’s Tangled is my fav movie and I watch it like every week
•I love stars or star shaped stuff, drawing or anything art, coffee,strawberries,ladybugs
•I've a teddy bear from when I was 8
•I always have music playing and my favs are radiohead, adrianne lenker, hozier, smiths, the 1975 and similar music. (I have happy music too trust but i love my sad music😔)
•My fav song of all time is iris by googoodolls
•Books are amazing and i LOVE reading (I procrastinate school by reading)
•pjo and Greek myth😔🫶
I've more to say but I should prolly stop yapping. Idk how often I'll update this but I hope to stay true and admit when I don't get work done. If you've read till this tysm, I hope you follow !

Lot of stuff happened this week except much of studying,
I came to India for vacation
Got sick
Went to the bookstore (got poppy war series!)
Tried to study
I caught the flu and was litrly dying for 2 days but there was this one bookstore I wanted to visit. I had fever still but it was probly the adrenaline cus when I came back from the bookstore I had fever. But I can't read anytime soon until exams are over. But I finished Picture of dorain gray and katabasis last week. I'm still kinda sick but I did few topics in history.
To do:
•Check with my teacher for imp topics
•Ask if I've maps
•Do worksheets on conic sections
Goals for the week:
•History: Ancient Mesopotamia
•Math: Conic sections

Nostalgia is gonna kill me. How is it 2026 already?
I don't rlly have any resolutions. I'll always be fond of 2025 cus of the people I met and realising that I'm becoming more and more into the kind of person I'd admire. I'm already nostalgic for this year like I'm gonna be a senior in 3 months.
I came back to uae last night. Did some math at the airport (lasted for like 30mins) and started history today. I've until 5th to complete all chapters and atleast 3 of maths to make it doable cus I've no gap days for exams. I'm gonna wake up early from tmrw and study as much as I can.
Also gonna write a letter to open next NYE!

I locked in for history but yesterday I'll admit I wasted time. But I hope I can make up for it tdy (not like I've a choice). I was bored with the end of the 1st chapter so I switched to the one about the displacement of indigenous people.
Despite exams, I do wanna go to school cus I miss my friends. I'm scribe (I write the the final exams for a yr 13 student cus of some circumstance where they can't) and the exam is in 3 days and i havent gotten the portions yet. But it's english so it’d be easy. But I hope it gets cancelled somehow so I'll have time for math. Very unlikely tho.
School actually starts tmrw but exams on 6th so I'm skipping tnrw to study at home. Idw do this😔

Exams got over last week. I got an A on math and moral studies (it's mandatory for everyone, but doesn't rlly matter). I'm not sure abt a 6mrk question in business (our teacher was supposed to upload a doc but she didn't and ended up asking qns from that so ye :| )
History was fine, econ was easy too. I hope I get an A in all atleast. Could've gotten A*s if they hadn't Informed my portions late. I went to dubai last week, got to meet my cousins. And I've this literary comp for which I've to read 4 books. It's in 2 days and I haven't started😭
Okay, things are actually serious now like what do you I'll have to do TMUA this Oct? My finals are on Feb 16, so once this competition is over, I'll have to start studying. I started decorating my room, which was rlly fun. I feel like I'll go insane if I had to go for more than a week without my journal or any artsy stuff. I did a poster based on the movie Fantastic Mr. Fox. Also made a diy blind bag for my friend based on the show dark. She's been convincing me to watch it, and I haven't, so I had to search up stuff without getting spoilers to make it.
Also I love the song Under pressure. Litrly keep on replaying it. So ye hopefully I manage to finish all the books within these 2 days. They're so boring tho 😔

So glad it's weekend. Yesterday was the comp but we didn't win cus one of my teammates got the answers wrong. But it's okay we still had fun we got to meet one of the authors. And one of my bsf's got me a leather journal and snacks from Japan for secret santa. AND SHE MADE ME BLUE COOKIES (It's a percy jackson thing😔). This is probly my fav part abt this week and I'm rlly happy cus she took the time to make it esp when she has classes,tuition,dance comp and stuff.
I got A* in econ and eng (highest in both😛), A in business. I haven't gotten history yet tho. But I hope I keep this up for finals and get all A*s. The senior's graduation is next week and the prep is hectic. We're almost done w evrything but I hope the gifts arrive soon.
I wanna start econ books for supercurriculars. I might start today but I'll have to focus more on finals. I'll probly sleep in tmrw tho cus I went to school at 6.30am and got home at 8.30pm. Like kill me. It took long cus we went to dubai for the comp and the way back there was traffic.
I rlly don't wanna study but ye guess I've to just force myself
