Alevel choices regarding universiry

I am currently in the process of applying to college, i've applied for 3 glevels in psycology, history and philosophy.
Psycology is something that interests me as a career, i've always been interested in philosophy and i enjoy history.
However i've been looking more recently into universities after college and have been hearing that some subjects -e.g. business studies etc- are less respected by universities and sometimes aren't actually counted as an alevel.
I am woefully uneducated regarding universities and am still clueless on what i really want to do as a career path, but are my three options ok for applying to universities later down the road.
I had originally been debating between history and business studies- i settled on history- and after researching uni more, im glad i did. However could someone tell me wether my options are good regarding this or if i should possibly consider other subjects- i am open to all opinions and suggestions.

Your subjects are fine. They also keep various doors open.
Obviously certain uni courses may require certain a-level subjects (e.g. medicine would require subjects such as chemistry/biology/maths). Some uni courses dont require specific subjects- they just require certain grades. Some may prefer essay subjects/science subjects etc.
Business studies is fine. It seems to be a bit of an urban myth that business studies is less respected. Most unis/courses are fine with it.
If you arent sure what you want to do after your a-levels, then pick whichever subjects you will enjoy most and get the best grades in.
The subjects you have chosen are fine.

These are solid choices 🙂 With psych at uni, you can opt for a BA or BSc degree, the BSc is more science-y. If this appeals then some unis will ask for 2 science a levels so watch out for that if you have any particular unis in mind or you might want to stay local
