Accounting and Finance UCAS help

Im almost ready to submit my application (I know it's late) but I need some opinions on what uni's are good to apply to with my grades. Last year I got CCD which wasn't great. Im going to resit two of them along with my A level exams to bring the C and the D to B's. I was planning on applying for Uni of Liverpool and LJMU, but I don't know if Liverpool would even consider me. I need some opinions on what uni's I should apply for.

Also, how do universities deal with resits? do they consider the fact that certain exams are being resit when they consider you?

So is your combination of achieved and new predicted grades BBC?
Do you have 'GCSE Mathematics at grade 5/C and GCSE English at grade 4/C "
Do you qualify for a contextual offer at L'pool?

Hi @j18000, Dr Mayowa Akinbote here, Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at University of Staffordshire and hopefully I can offer you some reassurance.

Try not to worry too much about CCD; many students improve their grades through resits, and universities do take predicted grades and planned resits seriously. Just be clear in your application that you’re resitting and aiming higher.

The University of Staffordshire (BSc Accounting & Finance) is also well worth considering:

Up to 9 ACCA & 8 CIMA exemptions

Strong employability and industry links

Supportive learning environment

Even if you apply to Liverpool or LJMU, Staffordshire is a solid choice for anyone serious about an accounting and finance career.
