Vet medicine

I need advice, I applied for veterinary medicine foundation year at UON and got rejected . They gave me alternative courses like zoology and animal science but I’m not interested in it at all. Should I just withdraw or apply for a course I’m not interested in. I feel my options are running out

I think it really depends on what you want to do. Are you thinking about studying animal science and then reapplying to vet med as graduate? Or are you giving up on vet med completely? Are you able to take a gap year? Are you aware of the fees for graduate entry to the vet med? Do you have other vet med offers? This is a good forum to read if you are rejected from vet school: https://www.thestudentroom.co.uk/showthread.php?t=7592588&p=100548406&page=1#post100548406

IF you are dead-set on veterinary medicine then withdraw and reapply next year. In the meantime maximise all work experience/work placement as far as humanly possible. Learn to drive if not already and stay strong mentally. This is not a failure. This is not the end for you. Your path just has a slightly different route and this process will make you a better clinician if you organise it to be so.
