Which business course do I do???

Hey I was wondering if anyone has done a a Management with Digital Innovation and Analytics course in uni (This one in particular is from royal Holloway) or something related to this and if yes what did you do and would you recommend it ?

Right now I'm doing a BTEC In IT but I'm not the biggest fan of this course and was looking to switch to something else but I don't know anyone doing this course and was looking to see opinions on it.

I was also looking at other unis with somewhat related courses like FinTech or Business Analytics / Data Analytics and other related ones.

does anyone have any recommendations, opinions or any info on this?

Hey!

I haven’t personally done that exact course, but Management with Digital Innovation and Analytics (and similar courses like Business Analytics, Data Analytics or FinTech) are becoming quite popular at uni.
These courses usually sit between business and IT.

You still learn core management and business modules, but alongside that you develop data analysis and digital skills, like using data to support decision-making, understanding digital transformation, and how technology impacts businesses. They’re generally less technical than a pure IT or Computer Science course.

If you’re not enjoying your BTEC in IT, this could be a good option especially if you prefer the business/strategy side of technology rather than heavy coding. Just keep in mind there’s often some statistics or data-related content, so it’s worth checking the module breakdowns.

Looking at different unis is a good idea, as the focus can vary. Some are more data-heavy, others more management-focused. I’d recommend checking open days or module lists to see which one suits you best.
