Queen Mary uni of London gcse requirements

hello, I’m currently doing a Btec extended diploma and I’m predicted D*D*D and the course I applied to only needed DDM. However the requirements for the course needed a minimum five GCSE passes including English and Maths at grade C or 4, I have English and maths (resit) and 2 others giving me 4 GCSE’s in total. Therefore because of my poor GCSE’s I completed the BTEC Level 2 Extended Certificate and got a D*D which I believe is equivalent to 3/4 GCSE’s meaning that my profile in total should have 7/8 GCSE’s which should have made me eligible for the course and not have gotten rejected… does anyone know if qmul just didn’t accept me because they did not consider the Btec level 2 qualification as a gcse or if I should email them about it as they might not have seen the Btec level 2 qualification that I put down on ucas but the reason I was rejected was for Insufficient GCSE/equivalent profile on ucas

Many thanks hopefully someone can help me

What course did you apply for? for the maths what grade did you get before the resit vs after and did you put both sittings in your UCAS application?

I’d recommend contacting their admissions for clarification/feedback.
Yeah I’m suspecting it’s either an issue with the level 2 BTEC or the resit.

That’s shame in that case and no worries!
