UCAS responding to offers

Hey so I'm at the stage of responding to my UCAS offers.
I want Professional Policing to be my firm choice and Learning Disability with social work to be my insurance choice..
HOWEVER.. my parents want me to do the opposite..
My parents say that I'm "not fully mature enough" to do policing even though I told them that doing that course makes a person more confident and more mature. Even the tutor on the open day said that he has seen people take on the course who were not mature enough and by the end of the first year, they changed completely.
My mum says that Learning Disability with social work is better as it goes into more careers in the future. I know that the main reason that she want me to do that course is because it would be something that she would choose and that's what she is interested in.
When choosing my GCSE choices and my BTEC Level 3 choices, I chose subjects that would make them happy. I barely got any say in what I wanted to do...And now they are saying that I do not listen to them when it comes to educational choices.
I'm so stuck right now.
What do I do???

Your choice, not theirs.

Hey there, currently about to restart uni at the age of 29 after dropping out at 19. I did one year of a course I DID NOT want to do at 18 because my parents wanted to me to do that course and not the one I’m about to start studying. Do exactly what you want. Like someone else said, it’s your choice, not theirs. Hope it goes well.
Your life, your career.

We see countless threads from people stuck on courses they hate which were only taken to placate parents.

So I chose my options and submitted it...
Professional Policing as my firm choice and Learning Disability with social work as my insurance choice.
This is the first time I chose a subject that I fully want to do.
I am shaking so much right now and I'm panicking for some reason.
But it feels good
