Confused about career paths

I am a 26 year old History graduate from Nigeria. I do have a strong passion for Engineering and technology but I don't know how I can get into the field. I have always had a strong mathematical aptitude, but in a bid to pursue a Law degree for my family, I ended up studying History, and now I want to go back to what truly resonates with me. Please I need assistance. Am I too old? Or will my arts background hinder me from accessing programmes in Computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, as these are the fields I have got strong interest in.

There are different entry methods different roles and career paths. The main pathways

apprenticeship: typical for technicians and certain professional engineer roles

Bachelor’s or master’s degree (in engineering but potentially also physics or maths): by far the most common pathway to entry level engineering jobs, opening up opportunities very broadly.

PhD: typical for engineers entering R&D, pure research or specialized engineering roles

To be an engineer you would need to retrain and get an entry level role, age isn’t an issue however going back to the start of your professional journey will of course take time and reset you income wise.
