UKMT Intermedite Hamilton and mclaurin
Im year 10 and i want to prepare for the intermediate hamilton or mclaurin olympiad 2026
I am currently working through the problem solvers handbook, is this helpful because it only covers old papers.
I also want to have an idea of ways to learn the topics in these two Olympiads and proof writing such as youtube channels, not mathsauras please. I am pretty weak with combinatorics and algebra.
Is there any other ways i can prepare.
Note: i think for proof writing the book is good because it gives techniques and tricks for proofs.

i have the problem solvers handbook, its pretty old. I also want to get invited to the olympiad mentoring scheme next year how can i do this?

There's a 'no 5' in the shop - maybe check if it's a new version?

I haven’t done any sort of mentoring since my teacher is unable to do it. I heard if you go to the NMSS you get invited to the enrichment mentoring scheme. Also is it possible if someone does very well in the Hamilton/Maclaurin, gets a gold, that they get invited to the OMS.
I also have handbook no 5, just asking if this is a useful preparation for the Olympiads. I also have both olympiad primers for BMO1 Prep.
