warwick foundation year

finished...

Warwick seems to do foundation years at Warwickshire College which allows direct entry into the Univeristy of Warwick. I am predicted ABB-BBB so I won't have much of a chance to study a degree like mathematics over there but if I was to do a foundation year, could I get in? They offer their foundation years on low grades.

i don't think you'd have much chance of getting in for maths even after doing a foundation degree.

you'd probably have a much better time applying to nottingham and the likes

It won't kill you to apply to Warwick anyway, will it? They give 85% of people an offer so there's a fairly good chance of getting an offer (meeting the offer is another story though).

Does it really guarantee direct admission into warwick uni after you finish this course? I was just wondering because i wanted to study economics at warwick but i didnt take maths in a-levels and now im due to sit my AS in june :frown: so somebody told me about this course, so i was just wondering if i apply and get in and complete this course, will it really gurantee me admission into warwick?

I do not suggest the Warwick HEFP, as I hear the success rate is low (less than 25%) for getting back to Warwick degree courses.

What makes matters worse is Mathematics , alongside with MORSE and economics are arguably the most competitive courses to get into for Warwick Uni.

I think the success rate isn't as low as 25% and it is even possible to get into unis better than Warwick (see my sig). Competitive as it may be, you will almost be guaranteed an offer for courses like MORSE, tho obviously it's entirely up to you to fulfill the requirements of the offer.

Anyone completed this course? If so what degrees are you doing now? Do share.
