When you say “heard nothing back”, do you mean receiving an offer vs rejection? And is this for undergraduate.

You posts this on Christmas Eve so it might be that the university admissions office isn’t looking at applications right now (winter closure period) and universities have until May to accept/reject you.

Edit: or are you talking about getting an interview from them?

Ive heard nothing back from them as in ive had no confirmation or rejection yet. They have sent me a link to their application portal and have asked to send in a portfolio. But i am unsure if that means i will get an application or anything.

Depending on your course the portfolio is the essential part of the application. They will want to see this before a decision is made. Falmouth also tend to interview, so in my experience the portal will ask you to pick in person or via teams interview, this will then progress to providing date options. However, there offices are all closed over Christmas, they posted on social media to say so, so assume you don’t here any more until early January.

Once you’ve chosen your interview type - online or in person - it’ll send you instructions - online is a power point type presentation and in person you take the art.

If online - It’ll give you a deadline to submit it. Then following this submission and interview UCAS will then update once they’ve made a decision

Hi, we are excited to hear you are interested in joining us here at Falmouth University! Have you already filled out the application form? You will not get an offer or rejection until after the UCAS Equal Consideration deadline which is Wednesday, 14th January 2026. Please let us know if you have any questions while you wait for your results. 🙂
