Are there any dating apps that are actually easy for guys?

Couldn’t fit it all in the title

But every dating apps i use requires you to pay to see the people that liked you, otherwise you have to just hope they appear in your feed and they almost never do.

Any that don’t need you to pay?

I know Hinge doesn’t but I do AWFUL on Hinge

maybe take part in some self improvement then if you arent doing well on hinge. it sounds like you're looking for an app where girls just flood your dms - it just doesnt happen anywhere unless you're famous, rich, or getting scammed.

hinge is probably the best app for online dating, only other thing id recommend is going outside and getting some real human interaction. not at the club or the bar, but just somewhere normal and casual without any dating/sexual pretences - if you really dont want to go outside then even just use insta or snapchat to talk normally and get to know someone: if you're just looking for one night stands then i think you're better off going on viva street and just doing it like that if nothing else is working.

why do you think you arent performing well on hinge?

There's a small proportion of men that do very well on free dating apps.
They're the ones with professional looking photos, a well written profile. And by well written it's not about being grammatically perfect. It's about attracting their target audience, whilst repelling women that aren't in their target audience.
They also have a set of good first messages. And they understand the different types of messages that women send them and how to respond to them. With this including them starting a soft close sequence for a first date when the woman sends a positive message.

And when they turn up for the first date they know how interact with the woman in an attractive way.

Most men have amateurish looking photos, a bland, boring me-too profile that's pretty much the same as most other profiles, send uninteresting first messages, ramble-on in follow-up messages, send the sort of messages their grandmother would send, make to many Typical Nice Guy Mistakes on any first dates they get.

It’s never going to be easy, you’re reduced to a commodity and to have any chance good self-marketing is required. I would focus on an enjoyable real life activities where you meet other like minded singles. It’s a more natural way to meet someone and even if you don’t on any particular occasion there’s still a chance of some enjoyment.

I tried Tinder and Bumble a few years ago but didn't have any success. No matches, and only a handful of likes (at least one of which was from a bot). Granted my bio was pretty awful, but being relatively fat at the time was probably the main reason I got nothing. I've lost a lot of weight since then - almost three stone now, with one more to go before I'll be at an acceptable weight - but I still feel far too ugly to try again. My flatmates at university want me to have a go, but mainly so that they can put my apps on the TV and swipe for me for fun.

I think the question has been misunderstood, on the other apps I HAVE LIKES from people, I just can’t like them back which is doing my head in

And they never appear in my usual feed so even if I have 12 likes, I never get them in my feed to like them back

Dating apps for fine for plenty of men. The number of relationships that start after meeting someone on an app is testament to that.

However the majority of relationships still start from meeting someone out in the real world. So, if apps aren't working for you, it's time to get out there.

Good looking men, maybe. At best I'm a 4/10, so I'm not exactly going to get attention from women in real life and on the apps. It's even worse for men who are worse looking than me.

I have no idea what you look like so can't comment on your looks. However women who are "4/10" are looking for partners and we've got decades of research demonstrating that individuals date people with similar levels of attractiveness.

Of course there are some exceptions. Lana Del Rey did not marry her husband on the basis of his looks.

This is why real life situations are the way to go for men who struggle on dating apps simply because the male to female ratio is skewed against them. It allows other aspects of yourself like your humour, your personality, your interests, your intelligence, etc. to shine.
