Road to A* | My GYG!!!! 😭📚 (to keep me accountable)

Heyyy what’s up you guys!! This is my GYG to make sure I stay accountable
and actually LOCK IN for my first Year 12 mocks in about 3 weeks.
I’m aiming for A/A*s 🌟, so consistency is the main goal from now on.

I’m in Year 12 at a Catholic sixth form

My subjects are:
- Politics 📖
- History 🏰
- Economics 💸 (my fave stupidly easy 💀)
- Maths (least fave need to work harder 😭)

Hopefully this helps me stay disciplined and actually follow through.
I’ll be updating you guys every step of the way to success 🤞📈

🌟💫✨ LET’S DO THIS ✨💫🌟updating you guys every step of the way to success. Fingers crossed this works!!
(Forgot to mention!!!)
I want to study Law at a Russel Group Uni or Cambridge so getting good grades is like super important to me

✨📚✨ 29/12/25 GYG Update ✨📚✨

Didn’t do much today 🫠

I transferred my Quizlet flashcards to Anki 📖➡️💻, but since the app version doesn’t work on my desktop, I had to manually copy **all 300+ flashcards** (Politics Topic 1 & 2 alone 😭) bit… by… bit…
It took about **2 hours** in total ⏰📚 but it is what it is 🤷*♀️✨
After that, my cousins came over for a late Christmas 🎄🎁 and I was so excited to hang out with them that I completely forgot to do any more revision (whoops 🫣).

BUT the 30th is a new day ✨✏️
We lock in then 📚🔥

✨📚✨ 30/12/25 2/1/25 | GYG Update ✨📚✨
Over the past few days, I spent a LOT of time with my cousins 👨*👩*👧*👦✨, so my revision wasn’t as intense or structured as I would’ve liked. Because of that, the main (and pretty much only) revision I managed to do was **making flashcards** 📖✏️.
Even though I didn’t do any past questions or timed revision, I still think this was productive in its own way. Making flashcards helped me organise content, identify gaps in my knowledge, and set myself up properly for more active revision later on 📚📌.
Most of the flashcards were for content-heavy subjects (especially Politics), so while it was repetitive and time-consuming, it’s definitely going to pay off when I start properly testing myself 🧠✨.
That said, I know I could’ve done more, and I don’t want to stay in this “low productivity” phase for too long 😭. The next few days need to be more structured and intentional, especially with mocks getting closer ⏰📈.
From now on, the plan is to:
- start actively using my flashcards (not just making them) 📖➡️🧠
- introduce timed practice and exam questions ✍️
- be more consistent day-to-day, even if it’s just small sessions
Overall, not my strongest few days, but not a complete waste either. Resetting, refocusing, and getting back on track now ✨📚🔥
