Which Warwick halls have more international students vs more UK/domestic students?

Hey all 🙂 I’m trying to get a sense of the student makeup in different Warwick accommodations. Which halls tend to have lots of international students, which have mostly UK students, and which are a fairly even mix? First‑year experiences are especially helpful.

I’m thinking of places like Rootes, Claycroft, Cryfield Standard, Jack Martin, etc. Any rough estimates or personal experiences would be super useful - thanks!

Hi wkucza! Bluebell and cryfield townhouses are more international-heavy as they are more expensive. And Arthur Vick to some extent. The ones you have listed are less expensive, so tend to have a lower international intake. But it mainly depends who is in your flat, which they use a questionnaire to determine. Feel free to ask any other questions!

Hi!

I’m currently a final-year student, but in my first year I lived in Sherbourne and I’d say it was a fairly good mix of both UK and international students - my flat was nearly a 50-50 split. From my experience and general reputation around the accoms, I’d say Bluebell is probably the only accommodation that consistently has a bit of a reputation for having mostly international students - personally, everyone I’ve met who stayed there in first year was international.

Out of the ones you mentioned, I’d expect those to have a fairly even mix, maybe leaning a little more towards UK students in some. But as mentioned in the comment above, it’s hard to generalise because each accommodation has many flats, so the people overall can vary quite a bit even within the same block. It’s definitely a bit of luck in terms of who you end up with, but Warwick is very diverse across the board so you’re likely to meet a good mix of people wherever you are!

Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions!

Best wishes,
Jasmine (Student Ambassador)

I was in Heronbank North and it's right next to Lakeside. I noticed Heronbank North had almost no international students whilst Lakeside had a ton, mainly from East/Southeast Asia.
