What course are you applying to?
What A-level subjects are you doing?
Are you eligible for any contextual offers?

It looks like you’re looking to apply solely to highly/mega competitive universities (though I might be mistaken depending on what subject you’re applying for) which isn’t a good idea even if it’s with achieved and not predicted grades. I’d recommend having 1-2 safety universities aren’t as competitive and/or have lower entry requirements.

ALL of those Universities use LNAT and this makes your whole application very risky - especially since all of those Universities are also mega-competitive for Law. They can all be very picky about who they accept and every year they will reject thousands (yes, thousands) who meet or even exceed the entry requirements. You could easily end up with minimal offers or no offer at all.

You therefore need to include at least one non-LNAT choice, and a sensible lower grade 'Insurance' choice. Look at AAA Unis like Nottingham, Liverpool, Leeds, York, Southampton etc - and somewhere asking for AAB or lower as a potential Insurance.

Hello @Hannah2211889966

Thank you for this question. Ultimately, no one can say with any certainty whether you would get into the above universities; there are many factors which admissions teams consider when deciding whether to offer someone a place, not exclusively academic ability. On the academic ability as a side note, you may be predicted high grades, but if all your offers ask for high grades but something goes wrong in the exams, resulting in lower grades, what happens then?

All of the universities you are looking at above are highly competitive, and if you definitely want to go to university straight after A Levels, then this is a big risk you are taking. You may think your application is amazing; your application probably is amazing, but sometimes even some of the strongest applicants are not successful. With your above choices, you are risking not getting any offers at all. Also, many students each year only want to apply to the Russell Group and other top universities; there is also a proportion of students who get to these universities each year and then later regret their decision. Therefore, please do not choose a university because of the name, choose a university which you like, where you will be happy, where you will feel like you belong and where you will be happy to live for at least 3 years of your life.

Finally, please do look for an insurance university with lower entry requirements, so if it all goes wrong, you have a backup, and if you change your mind and actually want to go to this insurance university, then it is possible. Having ambition is amazing and should be encouraged, but it is also important to remember that life happens, the world is not always a fair place, and anything may happen that you personally do not have any control over. Therefore, if you are set on going to university in the next academic year, you need to pair your ambition with some realism.

I hope this helps, and if you have any further questions, please do let me know.
